What to Expect

We believe that God is truly present and serves us during worship. So, we call our worship "Divine Service." God (the Divine One) serves us. Our order of service, called the liturgy, reflects this.  It is a conversation between God and us, and it follows how God's people have worshipped from ancient times: God speaks; we respond.  We hear Him speak through His Word, especially through three readings from the Bible.  We respond in songs, hymns, psalms, and prayers.  Every Sunday we confess our sins and receive His forgiveness.  Every other week we receive Jesus' body and blood in Holy Communion.  Every part of the service is meant to point us to Jesus Christ, who serves us with His very life, and to strengthen our faith in Him.
