Head Elder: Stephan Ellis
As elders, we handle various task with the worship services, such as church offering, assisting the Pastor with communion etc. In other words, the Pastor leads the services, and we have the responsibility that everything is in place for the service.
Our responsibility to you extends beyond the worship services. The welfare of your family is important to us. If you or a member of your family is in the hospital, we will pay you a visit (if advised). If we haven't seen you in church for a while, we will attempt to contact you to make certain everything is alright. If there is an issue in church that concerns you, please don't hesitate to speak to one of us about it. We want you to know that we care deeply about the members of our church family.
Our goal is to provide guidance to our members and help our church grow in doing the Lord's work. Doing the Lord's work is a two-way street, and we need you to help us also, by volunteering with little things (within your limits), reading service lessons, coffee host, greeter (just saying hello) at the beginning of church services would be outstanding. Note, if you can't, ask another family member or a church friend. The key phrase is "team effort". We have a great core of families at Holy Cross and we can do great things together to move the Gospel message forward to others!
